August 2026: We've started work on the Keizersgracht!
At Keizersgracht 105 in the heart of Amsterdam, we have started the renovation of the national heritage building De Bruynvis. The original building dates back to 1763, was rebuilt between 1940 and 1944, and comprises approximately 2,345 m² of office space spread across six floors.
The first phase of the works is now in full swing. Part of the building has been stripped and demolished to make way for the new layout and installations. In the process, remarkable elements from the past have resurfaced, including doors, passageways, and spaces that had been sealed off during earlier renovations.
In the coming period, the focus will mainly be on the technical works. The electrical and mechanical (E&M) installations are being upgraded, and a new climate and ventilation system is being installed throughout the building. In addition, we will begin construction of the new restroom facilities.
Later in the project, further work will include the renovation and restoration of the building's heritage-listed spaces and characteristic features, among other things.
So there's still plenty to happen in the coming months. We'll take you along through the various phases of the renovation and show you, step by step, how this remarkable national heritage building is being prepared for a new future as an office.
