National Heritage Monument, Den Haag

Facade and Roof Renovation

For this distinctive national heritage monument in The Hague, WeComplete carried out a complete façade and roof renovation. Since the summer of 2025, we have been working on the restoration and sustainability upgrade of the building, with preserving its historic character as the highest priority.

The project included the removal of the existing render and the application of a new façade rendering system, extensive timber repairs with partial replacements using the original wood species, and the meticulous restoration of façade ornaments, capitals, and balusters. In addition, the roofs were completely renewed with zinc and lead roofing and fitted with high-performance insulation. To improve the building’s energy efficiency while preserving its historic character, vacuum glazing was installed.

All work was carried out in accordance with the ERM guidelines, in close collaboration with JLL, Van Hoogevest Architecten, and our ERM-certified partners. The result is a future-proof national heritage monument where authentic details have been carefully preserved, combining craftsmanship, sustainability, and quality.
